if you only had a few drinks and think you are close to the limit, next time do this:
as you are doing the field sobriety tests, take deep slow breathes and breathe as much air as possible out of your lungs.
Then as the cop gets ready to make you blow the breatheolizer, really blow out all the air in your body (don't make it too obvious)
Then take one quick little breathe right before doing the breathalizer and don't blow too hard.
this will lower your B/A level a few points and probably would have saved your ass.Comment

I don't get all these people hating on the starter of this thread. Let the person who hasn't fucked up in their life sometime, someway be the first to cast the stones at Mr. DUI here. Some of you guys are acting like the person is Satan himself.
When I did criminal law, I cut my teeth on DUI defense. The vast majority of DUI cases I saw were just regular decent Joes out making a stupid mistake and not bad people.

Now with that said, I recommend finding a lawyer that knows the D.A! As with most CRIMES, the D.A want their pound of fleash! It helps if the lawyer you use has a good raport.
Be prepared to spend $$$$ DUI defense can cost as much as $10K or more.
