    Is wide screen all it's cracked up to be, when it comes to porn?

    Been reviewing some sites recently for our newest project and I have to be honest and say that wide screen porn sucks.

    It's simple if you're shooting wide screen learn the fuck how to frame and direct your models. I want to see the porn, not the fucking room it's happening in.

    I spend 40 minutes downloading a file to see a girl in a room, and the doors on one side and the windows on the other side of the room. If I want to know about decorating I would log into a different site.

    Just because Hollywood uses widescreen don't presume you can. It takes skills.

      I totally prefer 4:3 to 16:9 for porn. Much better aspect ratio for the action.

          I especially don't care for those who are doing split-angle views widescreen (two screens side-by-side for a widescreen effect)... just seems too distracting to see a cumshot from 2 angles.

          It takes effort to do that editing, but I don't think it results in better retention or sales.

              I absolutely cannot STAND that shit. It's like they bring in some new techie nerd out of college who wants to dazzle you with all the fades, split screens, and cheese. In porn it's the old cliche, "Keep it simple stupid".

              No one that I know of wants to come up to a money shot, and see the screen go to split 2, then 4, then 6 like 80's stuff.

                  I like shooting it on both..

                  some fetishy stuff is nicer in wide to get nice angles with long legs etc etc
                  I prefer to shoot in wide and crop close when needed in edit.

                  it does give you the options 4:3 doesn't
