I'm in a Trying-to-quit period right now, can't just quit cold-turkey..
You just have to be d.e.t.e.r.m.i.n.e.d. ... !
Try thinking of the cigs as medicine with REALLY bad side-effects and only have one
"when absolutely necessary".
I'm pushing myself to endure certain time between every smoke, and then ramp up
that time every other day or so.
Trust me, it works - I've done it.. then I was stupid: I thought "fuck it, it's a nice bad habit"
and started again - not because I had nicotine cravings, I just missed the habit
in a weird way.
So You see.. It's all about discipline & effort.
I'm gonna quit again the way I did before and then stay away from smoking FOREVER
Did it cold turkey, i think 8-9 months ago? lost track. Gained a few pounds that wont go but the cough, the sweat and the overall bad health has improved, slowly, since then.
I quit 1 year and 4 month ago when i met my husband he ask me not to smoke and i dont know how but i quit and now i can even stand to smell cigarrettes
