From everything I read it's the opposite. If the conservatives won majority it would strengthen the dollar as they were supposed to cut taxes including maybe getting rid of the GST.

Now it looks like the cdn $ will drop a tad hopefully since it's not a majority goverment. Then again if they get rid of the GST it will probably strengthen (damn if you do, damn if you don't situation for those of us getting us checks)
