    I need a VIDEO EDITOR!! SOMEONE GOOD!!

    I need to hook up with a couple of video editors. People that I can get to know and maybe share work with. Lately I've been getting asked a few times a day if I'm available for work, but I'll be leaving for Maui in a few days and often times I'm busy with other clients and so I have no choice but to turn work down.

    What I want are a couple of people that I can referrer work to. If you're good, post your portfolio and a client list. And an ICQ #, or email.

    Sometimes they ask for 1 trailer, sometimes 10, and once I got a request for 5000... (5K) trailers).

    I only know 2 other people that edit videos, and they both do trailers well. Unfortunately I already loaded them up with work as well, so I need more people that I can referrer clients to.

      Have you considered hiring somebody to help you with smaller tasks so you can focus more of your time on the good stuff?

              I have considered it.. However, when people request me, they want my style. I can't teach it to someone else. Everyone has a different style, that's what sets us apart.

              I'd rather send them to a friend than to hire someone and take a cut as a boss or something.

              My cousin comes around from time to time to import video, but that's as easy as popping a tape into a deck and designating a spot for it to save as.

              He's a hell of an encoder as well, (best I've ever seen) but even if he helps a little it still takes a while to edit no matter how you slice it. I can only do so much.

              Believe me, I wish I could take on all the work. But apparantly there is enough to go around. I just need to be able to trust the people that I suggest since it'll be my recommendation.

              I can't suggest someone that's just gonna fuck it up and do a shitty job.
