              What is interesting is that the judge does not have to agree with the jury's recommendation and can set aside that verdict.

              It would not surprise me if he changed it to life.

                  I wouldn't be surprised if his lawyer set it up on purpose to make it look like Peterson wasn't adequately represented in order to get a retrial.

                  He wasn't even there for the verdict or a lot of other key moments during the trial.

                      well, I don't know that not showing up for a verdict is lack of representation. I think the dismissal of 3 jurors will be more of an appellate matter
