Dial-up is the devil. Everytime I have to use it after using my 4mbit I go mad... you just watch the status bar. Trying to surf my own sites for stats takes a year.

LOL, I have DSL, I'm just having a time getting either one of my PCs working enough to connect to it.

Not sure what hit the desktop,
suddenly my network connections were
wiped out and it won't let me create
new ones. I can't get into safe
mode, when I try to choose diagnostic startup it tells me only an
administrator can do that, although I am logged into an administrator
account.

I bought a new hard drive yesterday
thinking I might be able to get it
running with a new Windows
installation but it's giving me
failure messages on the startup disc.
Tomorrow I'm going over to mom's house and use her PC to download some alternate boot discs. That's the only thing left I can think to do before giving it up for dead.

This has me really stumped. I don't
have anyone around to help me, I'm
the one everybody else comes to to
fix their PCs
