I´ve just recently started buying some traffic, but it has left me sort of confused. First of all - it hasnt brought in any signups - which is of course sort of shitty, but then, I havent spend much yet and dont expect miracles.
I´ve bought targeted traffic at traffic source (niche BDSM) - but given the lack of signups, that may not be the way to go. Is there a better way or a better spot to go shopping for it?
Secondly, the amount of traffic delivered makes me even more confused.
For instance, once purchase - it says it delivers traffic from some TGP - in this case approx 8000 hits from the BDSM category on an TPG.

Thats all very fine. But the server statistics for the same days show that the combined traffic for the site has only grown with round 900 hits (and that wasnt the only traffic spot purchased).

What am i missing here? I take it, there´s some aspect of i´ve simply not seen?
Besides from that, I´ve just opened a sex.com account and also purchased some traffic on given keywords. Cant say anything about the effect yet - as it just started, but their stats show 800 hits delivered, and my stats say 600 delivered from one sex.com "redirect" address alone, so thats probably fine. The traffic at sex.com is much more expensive, but of course - thats fine if it converts. Time will tell. But is this a good/better way to go - or should i be doing something entirely different elsewhere?
