You're also getting paid upfront - even if it's a $4.95 trial and the surfer cancels without renewing - it's all factored in.
By using a console, you allow the sponsor to make up for the extra $5.00 they are paying out. It's your perogative not to use them, but with that chioce you must also understand that sponsors aren't here to payout at a loss. You're not allowing the exposure for the sponsor to justify the extra cost of $5.00 per sale *upfront*.
