changing the world? i believe everyday there's a lot of changes around the world, good and bad, best & worst things are happening around the corner, and we simply cannot do something about it.

Education is the key, this is what we get told.. this is the thing that can change the mindset of everyone. But then you go to school/university and you get told your the top 1% in the world, you get told ur doing this to GET A GOOD JOB and EARN GOOD MONEY and to compete and stamp down on those that get in the way. Top organisations being unethically exploiting other countries (but this is ok, cuz its for money.)

I don't know, theres really no point to this post.. Just sometimes, things make me feel so useless.

People should be thinking like this on a daily basis. Nothing will change. People demonstrate and protest with no effect on their targets (Governments, corporations, the church etc...) because the protests are lacking one key factor that made them influential in the past, people with positions of relative power are NOT getting involved, no profs, CEO's,MP's or Governenors. They are in terror of being considered liberal or rtaking any form of risk. their cowardice is crippling a movement.

Also, GREED IS NOT A VIRTUE. people forget that often. Choose a profession that does something good, for example, Teaching High School or working part time for non profit orgs.

The only way we can implement any sort or REAL change is to stop buying things. The only voice we have is as a consumer. Choose to boycott someone (for example McCains because in the 1990's they were sued a few times for discriminatory hiring practices) But what the fucvk do I know? I'm poor.

to be honest I don?t think there is much point worrying about it, you will just put yourself in a early grave and then who can you help?

I think charities should also operate less like charities and more like businesses, who the hell wants to go to oxfam to by there shopping, oxfam with there massive retail base should actually start competition with the Virgins and Wallmarts to maximize there market share... but hell these are just my thoughts off the top of my head.

Also what the hell are people sponsoring fucking elephants and donkeys in Africa when they could be spending the $$ on helping the children.

Also you states helping the homeless... i personally think that the government (in the UK at least) do everything anyone needs to get a home and a job, less than 1% unemployed at the moment, anybody that?s on the streets seems to want to be there or are so drugged/pissed up that they cannot take the help available.

Anyways... maybe I'm wrong just my 2cents

That?s what I read... maybe the figures have been tweaked.. But I know our government and the economy in the UK kicks ass at the moment!

1st off, stop giving to organizations... they have employees to pay, overhead and so on... so you 10 punds isn't really helping anyone...

Instead, take that same 10 pounds and give it to some homless person on the street.. or buy them a room for the night to get warm and clean... buy them a dinner...

There are so many things you can do as an individual. Sure, you may only help one person... but do you really think that your 10 pound donation to an organization will go as far?
