Site Name Marketing ???

I am thinking of creating one big site with all my content in... it would be launched with 100,000 images and 100 videos... it would also update 3 times a day every day... 21 updates a week...

Now the name of this Big Site ??? Hmmmm...

I have purchased the name www.BigFuckingSite.com

What do we reckon ?

maybe something with database or archive... it conveys the large amount of content and its fun for customers to get inside 'the archives'... a few sites already use that kind of angle, like some of the hustler ones.

I also have a PimpRoll AVP Site called Pornstar Video Archive and its done pretty well...

My suggestion is an integrated approach.

Get one main brand name and stick with it. Produce variations of it for different themed sites. Few companies in adult do this, but the ones that do are very successful, eg, Playboy, Girls Gone Wild, etc..

It seems like most of the other companies pump and dump. They promote a site, milk it for money, and then run it into the ground. Then, they get a new site and repeat. Sure you can make money that way, but the big money is in building long term brands.

Naming is one of the main things my company does http://namingsystems.com

Need to be a little more specific... do you mean creating different tours and such to fit with different niches... such as big boob, latin, feet ect ???

If so doesnt really fit, we produce teen girl next door tease stuff, and the odd bit of teen girl next door hardcore...

i don't really think the name bigfuckingsite.com is the right path to take with your project.

Something along the lines of sexpicarchive.com is a good one, it lets your surfers know that you have a HUGE collection of images and it's also very brandable....

I'd have to disagree with Harley Girl. The whole concept of marketing is to be original so that your brand sticks in the user's mind. I think bigfuckingsite is easy to remember and brandable. Although there is more to it, it is indeed markettable.

You did not mention if this was going to be a freesite or a paysite.

The name is definitely marketable with the proper byline attached. You do not want the surfer to think too much so the name Bigfuckingsite by itself does raise some questions.

1. Is it BIG people fucking?
2. It's a bigfuckingsite of WHAT? Could be anything!
3. Does not clearly state that it is an adult site.
4. Is Bigfuckingadultsite or Bigfuckingxxxsite or Bigfuckingadultcontentsite available? For the name to stand alone I believe you need an adult reference.

LOL Thanks Jim... no it will not be big people fucking... it will simply refer to the fact it's a Big Fucking Site... as it says on the Tin ! (English Joke!) Will come up with a strapline to clarify after we drew them in...

Lets leave a little to the imagination... all in all I think its a very brandable name... will get peoples interest due to it doesnt over explain what it is... I am sure the location of promotional content and the promotional content will make it very clear what kind of site it is...

I dont like the addition of adult words, for one thing makes the URL way way too long...
