I tried implementing it and it seems that the ping response from banners.adultfriendfinder.com is good (always < 200ms). So it's not the connection that is slow, but the software implemented on the server. Therefor, a simple ping won't do the trick, the script will have to request the whole banner and see how slow the server responds.

That's a good solution if the servers always responds within a few seconds and you don't want to place your ad at the bottom of the page. Unfortunately, the server reply doesn't always come within a few seconds. For example, today, it either doesn't shows up at all (90%) or after more than 5 or 10 seconds (10%).
A script like the one I want would still show the banner, without lag, if the AFF server is slow. This way, I won't have geo-targetted ads, but I will still send some traffic to the AFF page (although the amount is a lot less than with geo-targetted ads).
