Iguana's kick ass man -- great pets! I have one back in NJ -- 7 years old. The vet says she is the most docile iguana he has ever seen. She's even potty-trained.
Here are some good tips for feeding
1. Iguana's love cheese but dont give them too much and avoid cheese with high fat b/c that will give them diahera.
2. Try feeding Green Leaf lettuce or Red leaf along with carrots, bananas, strawberry's (be sure to cut up the banana and strawberry really small). AVOID ICEBERG LETTUCE AT ALL COSTS.
3. Buy the powder vitamens for igaunas -- a calcium one and a multivitamen one.
Keep a large dish of water in his cage -- if you think he needs to shit, put him in it -- eventually he will realize that its there and start going in that dish most of the time (they like the feel of the water i guess).
enjoy your iggy! Be sure to hold him often -- this will begin the proccess of domestication.
