What kind of woman do you prefer?

I've been thinking again (uh oh, you say). I'm very much a tomboy at home. I will happily live in my sweatshirt and trackpants all day, and I don't bother dressing up to go to the mall or the grocery store. Sure, I clean up ok when I do have to be presentable, but that's not my natural state.

I know girls who won't leave the house unless they have full makeup and hair done and their newest perfect outfit on. They change clothes five times a day, and have shoes to match it all.

I'm wondering, for a girlfriend (not a quick lay), do you guys care if the girl dresses up all the time? Or do you want her to look her best for you every day? Are you afraid to see her without makeup on? What's the deal, hm?

good post elli, I often wonder the same.
I lounge around in my sweats and baby T's most of the day.
And when im just running out for a errand, I'll put on jeans and a decent T. But dont stress about my makeup.
I also wonder, cause alot of guys like the casual, not trying look..while others like their girl to look tip top all the time.
I think If you look like ur not trying..is normally when you're at your hottest. JMO.

i prefer a girl who doesn't wear much of anything while at home. when going out though, it all depends on where we are heading.

As long as she thread her body with respect ( i mean, no drugs and showers every day) i dont care that much, but i prefer not to much make up.

What she wears, is all up to her... im quit easy with woman.

Casual is totally cool with me. If you dress up to go out, though, it doesn't hurt to dress up for your partner once in a while.

I say a comfy woman is much more appealing than a stuffy one. Around the house, when it's just us... the more comfy we both are.. the better.

I prefer if a girl wears at least some of my load while lounging around the house. It could be crusted on her ear, sticking a couple strands of hair together, glazing her toenail, whatever... As long as my boys are having a good time swimming.

While home and doing casual things (grocery store, getting gas, taking a walk, etc) there's no reason to get all dressed up, its a casual setting and she should casual. With that said, I don't know if looking like a complete slob is ever "ok".

I always dress decent and wear nice clothes on the occasions that call for it. I expect the same.

I'm more of the natural type as well...I actually spend a lot of my time naked when I am at home... If I have someplace special to go, I like getting dressed up, but why do that to sit on the computer all day or run errands....

when you love a woman how she looks in private becomes less important over time.

but for the man who has a very beautiful girlfriend (spouse) it is important that she become "beautiful" when she is in public with her man.

a beautiful woman hanging onto a guy's arm showing the world that she belongs to him is a great ego boost for ANY guy.

it's about the same emotion as pulling up to panera bread for lunch in front of the picture windows in your late model mercedes.

but most men would prefer that the same girl to not look too beautiful when she is in public without him

Agree!! I hate wearing make-up and getting all glammed up. Sure, I like dressing up when the occasion calls... but I would much rather be in a pair of baggy jeans, with my hair in a pony tail.

I love my wife the way she is she always keep her looks up even though we have a 1 year 11 month old and a 8 month old she still cares enough to try and look good for me and that's enough for me...

I more or less do not care about what she wears - it is the mind and body I am after, not the clothes.
- No wannabe Barbie dolls
- No license plates
- No couch potato / must be a fitter that enjoys the outdoors.
- No diggers or "I have to be rich" girls.
- None that piss and moan about my habits.
- No silicone!

I am not interested in moulding, or being moulded.
