I wish people would not take me for a fool.
Some of you may have read a thread I started a week or so ago about some guy that was trying to use a fraudulent credit card to purchase not one, not two, but three increasingly more expensive hosting packages from us. When I asked him to contact me by using our toll free phone number there was no subsequent call. Big surprise.
Well, he is back.
I get a notice of a failed transaction, followed shortly by a successful sale. It looked legit until I recognized the guys email address. I double checked, and the email address was the same as the guy from last week, however his name and physical address were different from last week.
I play along and send him the following email:
Nassar,
We have received your order for a Virtual 30C hosting package, but before we proceed I was wondering if you could explain why the last time an order was placed we were given a different name and location.
This is the response he sent:
I'm new this mail master.
Old master gave me this e-mail account.
Now, is there anyone here that believes this guy?
