Are You Smarter Than My 2nd Grader?

So, after his fucking boatload of daily homework (I don't remember getting this much homework when I was his age) we are stumped on this last math problem and I was hoping some fresh, intelligent GFY minds could help us out. Yes I know, have him do it himself, but this is hard shit for a 7 year old.

    Question
Using the digits 2, 4, 5 and 6 make up four addition problems whose answers are 107

So far we have the 2 obvious ones

    65+42=107
    62+45=107

        65+42=107
        42+65=107
        62+45=107
        45+62=107

I know they are essentially the same problems in pairs, but there is no other way to do it.

That is the answer! My older son, who is 10, just rattled that off like it was asking what 1+1 was "Dad, that is a family of facts question - easy dad! I'm surprised you didn't know that!"

Man, my boys of 7 and 10 just made me feel like a retard. I guess I should their paternal father is.

Thanks for your help you two.

Spunky, thanks for not making me feel like the only mathematically challenged person on the board!

I don't know, he's ten years old and is as big as most 13 year olds 5'2" 120 lbs and he's not fat. He might give ya a run for your money!

Sounds like Saxon math. I guess that's what most schools are doing now.

School sucks, let the kid get some life experience. Too much homework is just to keep them occupied so the lazy ass teachers don't have to do shit.. .

Yeah, they are awesome. Kids really make life more meaningful! That is for those who appreciate their kids. Then there are those fucks that have no business being parents. But, I won't get into that topic!

It's a type of reading and math curriculum that is very popular in elementary schools in the States. A lot of schools teach it.
