Turns out the obsolete POS I had was "business grade" so the insurance company had to upgrade the quote (nearly doubling it) to a replacement business grade one. It ended up being 5 times the cash value of what I originally paid for the old laptop.

It's effectively already obsolete but I can see this one lasting a while.
