    What was the first check you ever got for something you promoted online? How much?

    The first company I ever signed up as an affiliate with was xdrive.com, back when they offered an online storage solution. They were paying out $1 for every free xdrive signup. I had all my friends in school join and after a few weeks I got a check for $115..

    That got me interested. What's your story?
