I have tried to help, offered her a safe place to stay, but I think she is back with him and too ashamed to say anything. Guy completely beat her self-esteem out of her.

Any tips from people who have been through this? Ways that I can help her get away from him and overcome her terror? I'd really like to pull a "friend green tomatoes" on him, but it's too cold out for barbecue.
