how can i get an epassporte account in the uk

it seems to be harder to get to speak to the pope than get an epassporte in the uk.

when they deposit a small amount to the bank account, i have tried 2 different accounts and both times my local bank in the uk say that the amount wont appear in my account as it is a pending charge and not yet agreed and paid! so i am stuck.

    anyone got any other suggestions?

    cheers

Mail me the account name you signed up with and an email where you can be reached.
You can still get an account it just requires you mail/fax a copy of your CC, ID and utility bill to ensure you are the owner of the CC.

Ya I spent bloody ages trying to explain it to them but eventually they phoned card services found out the the charge in sterling so then I had to email epassporte what the amount was in sterling and they got it verified. Pain in ass but you get there in the end hahaha.

Another problem which happens - They send X cents to your bank - This then shows up in your local currency (uk = pence) you then calculate the cent value of the pence - And for certain their has been a currency change in the mean time!
However - Best of luck getting epassporte - I have used it for some time and it makes life a lot easier - Wish companies like ccbill would start using it - Save me a fortune in currency exchanges!

Thats why you now can enter the amount in your local currency.

sign up with your credit card, then ring your cc company and they will tell you the pending charge in dollars and cents, even though it won't appear as a transaction, then go back to apassporte and finish the process, that's what I did and it worked for me

                you're kidding right?

you will never be able to reconcile the two amounts (it doesn't matter if they're in USD or local currency) in 99% of the cases

when I opened an account my bank was unable to give me the amount in USD, all they saw was the amount 'charged' in local currency

but when I enetred the amount in local currency on your site it simply wasn't accepted
do you know why? Well because there's no way that you know what exchange rate will my bank be using at that particular time

I had that problem in South Africa, my friend had that problem in the UK, if I remember correctly the Dutchies had the same problem, why don't you use the method that PayPal uses, it works 100%?
