        Petr, I have no problem with the concept, I just dont think you should be fueling it with original TGP traffic. I send hits to your site, to blind link galleries and you send hits to my clean galleries. If a new site started with those blindlinked thumbs, I wouldnt trade with it, and I cant trade with a site that changes to that format. I have prepaid advertsiers that expect traffic and page views and there is no way I can jeopardize that.

            That's the crux of it right there. As long as the big TGPs do well selling advertising, things won't change.

                        I do support the idea of reducing the amount of free porn on the net.
                        I mean come on, 250k to a gallery and no sign ups! That should tell you something right there.
                        This has happened to webmasters over and over again. And to some of the biggsest webmasters around, testify brothers!

                        And if anyone really thinks Tgp2 is over and gone, well you just keep thinking that.

                            The idea is great and it'll generate more sales for sure.
                            But the problem is none of the other sites will join this idea.
                            You'll lose your traffic to the normal TGP's
                            After all most tgp owners think of keeping the freeloader happy and rather have 1,000,000 freeloaders that keep comming back then 100,000 people that want more but can't get it without flipping their credit card.

                                    This is a nice idea, and it will work.

                                    This game is all about risks. This month i took the risk of changing round all the galleries I post on my free sites, and now have only 6 full size pics, and the rest point straight to the pictures inside my members area.

                                    Its worked. just had the best August for 2 years. Signups are up 30% across the board, with all billing companies we use.

                                    I'm sticking with it, guaranteed the big TGP's wont post these pages now, so i say ignore them, dont post to them

                                    if all gallery makers did this, and did not bother to post to any TGP who wont list them, those TGP's would run out of stuff to post and have to take a cut down gallery.

                                    I say its not down to the TGP's, its down to the gallery builders to get together. The TGP's will have no option but to list them in the end. And this business will be more profitable for all.

                                            Tgps will not list a gallery that might actually convert such as TGP2 or what was proposed by this thread. They want the pretty pictures for their surfers and honestly why would they give a fuck how their traffic converts for anyone??

                                            They will not list something censored, they want to keep the surfer on THEIR page so they can keep selling ad spots and traffic.

                                            Conversions on any variation of a free site are by far greater than any tgp crap traffic.

                                                Censor pics and tease the surfer, and watch your conversions go sky high.

                                                Obviously anything other than traditional tgp galleries will not be listed by a tgp. Let that part of the industry do its thing, let the sponsors make their own decision about how to give out their content.

                                                                I think deep down inside (other than the really huge guys like Shemp, The Hun, Zilla, World Sex, Ect) know that tgp's cannot continue at the rate it is going. It's the battle for who can have more submitters that submit 50 Series Pic galleries and 10 MB movies. As great as that sounds to the general Tgp that wants to have 1million bookmarks and 10million page views, it realisticly doesnt pay off for the people buying the spots, and putting out the world class free galleries in order to try to obtain a sale. Someone will wake up, perhaps not at the huge level that I have seen posted on the baords here for the last month (thumbs linked to sponsors, consoles on galleries, galleries with only thumbs and no big pics, galleries with 10 thumbs only), but I think their will be a change.

                                                                I for instance have taken a different route, i have spoken to Germes (Tgp Brownie) to develope a script that can check galleries that have thumbs that lead to html pages. Maybe not a great idea for everyone, but it's what I want to do on my tgp's (which I have plenty large and small), that will be my change, not for everyone, but Ill roll with it, will I lose traffic, maybe, maybe not, no one sasy I have to let complete shit galleries go through.

                                                                I respect all of the big dogs, they set the pavment, you cant and shouldnt expect them to change. Why the hell should they.

                                                                However I think some of the smaller sites that wont control the huge portion of the market should grow some nuts and give something new a try, that way every newbie that jumps online considers following the smaller tgp's design paths, it's like poison ivy, it will spread.

Its nothing more then Blind Linking thumbs straight to a sponsor??....Its been done since the conception of galleries...It is fine for someone who wants to send their own traffic to it, but you wont find many, if any others willing to send their traffic to a gallery where 1/2 the thumbs go to a sponsor....Get a clue

                                                                            Interesting concept gotys, building these galleries would not take all that long after you have a decent template. Just switch new pics in everyday.

                                                                            The only problem with this is the fact that surfers can get free porn from all the other sites out there that still stick to the "TGP 1" format. I hate to say it but I think you will lose a great deal of bookmarks to Pichunter because of this new format. Maybe over time it might be worth it but can you weather the storm. That is the question???

                                                                            If you are already concerned about your cash flow maybe you should hammer down and put some money away before you consider such a HUGE change to your sites format. If that site is your bread and butter maybe you should consider trying the format on another TGP you own and feed it traffic from Pichunter. I am not trying to tell you how to run your own business. Just trying to give you options.

                                                                                Xtc runs some big sites,he will and i congratulate him for this,adapt the format of his sites in a way it will be more profitable for him. Gotys will do the same and again congratulations. Where your site ranks in sextracker doesnt matter unless your mission in this industry is to sell banner spots to others. It's not something everybody has to agree you know. None webmaster sets the standards of the industry. Each one of us does it and you need to realise it.

Every single day tons of new tgps start from people having purchased expensive trading scripts, the host on their own dedicated and they use the most expensive tgp script...they buy traffic for a site lacking originality and they complain why it's stuck at 5k.....

Lately I tend to respect more people that talk less and act more, they don't ask around for anything they do, they try things alone and they are beyond the rest. Tgps explode due to some tgp owners talking about the money they make from their huge money blah blah...so every single clueless started a tgp. Suddenly 5000 tgps seeking for the same share of traffic/money. Great....give me a break. When I go shopping for clothes let's say I see business that make WAY more than any tgp owner on the web. Who are these people? Common businessmen, they run their own business in a local street, doing their work properly and this is it. You, egoistic tgp owner that you have zillion potential surfers you ended up having as only revenue doorway the banner spots? Congratulations.

                                                                                                I have been joking at Gotys in the past about his tgp, but this doesnt mean that I dont believe Gotys is smart guy, he achived his target within a short period of time. The same target that 1000s of you chase every day. Now his mission is to make the most of his surfers. I think if he stay focused and not get disturbed from the idea losing surfers he'll achive it. Personally I would prefer running an 150k site that makes five times more than a 500k site. I'm sure Gotys prefers the same. I recommend him to try alone and keep his effort for himself. He has the traffic,he knows how things work better than most of you. Who ever is going to drop a trade with gotys sites because he would list a different format of galleries is blind, stupid and his future in this industry in my eyes looks limited and unsecure.

                                                                                                            Funny that sites like link-o-rama and tommys-bookmarks trade with tgps. I know that trades are based on traffic numbers and productivity. I also know that many of you spread your legs to get a small trade with some big linklists. Exposure to less hardcore and different gallery layout will increase the quality of the surfer and will not decrease it. It's not hard to see the difference. Everybody would prefer receiving surfers exposed to LESS hardcore porn because they would be more potential customer than the ones the average hardcore tgp has.

                                                                                                                    Last night I realized, there will be a day when all your ideas are gone, you have tried everything, all possible sponsors, you traffic keeps on growing, yet your income keeps on shrinking. I got scared, and I came up with this idea. I don't believe in God, but if I did, I would pray to God right now that my idea worked, because if all of us don't start acting up, we will be broke one day, all of us, including the hun.

People that buy banner spots from hun quicjky learn that they have wasted their money on the ads. It won't take long before they will know this before they even pay for the ad. Some times this forced way works better than waiting him to click on your tiny link. The very experienced tgp surfer will never click on your thumb and most probably will never purchase anything, at least at the moment when there's no need to do so. Everything for free. If you speak from the side of the gallery builder I have already said that this word through time will tend to extinct. The tgp owner can use any way he wants to make profit on his site. Obviously the rules in the submit page do not apply to him. Thanks to sponsors there are some 1000s galleries each month with sponsor links, without needing review waiting the tgp webmasters. Keep in mind what I said for the gallery builder.

                                                                                                                            TGP2 has even more aggressive advertising than your example galleries, and you would use even less pics, which would spread out the ontent even farther (more bang for the buck). The biggest downfall of TGP2 was the lack of traffic - since you control one gigantic site, and several smaller sites, coming up with 10-20k for a TGP2 site should not be too hard for you. When I had a 15k TGP2 site, it made nice money. I just ran out of my 404 traffic to feed the sites.

You wouldn't be out there all alone, trying to sell a new concept. You'd just be breathing new life into an existing marketing scheme that could use some fresh traffic that isn't skimmed at 60%.

                                                                                                                                Things are being changed and modified to make Tgp2 into what it was meant to be. More relaxed advertising rules. Most sites will share the same set of rules which will be automatically updated on all site if there is a rules change.

                                                                                                                                There were many problems and a lot of BS that popped up because of greed and ego. Well that is gone for the most part.
                                                                                                                                We are 95% fat free. And hope to turn Tgp2 into a lean mean green money machine.

                                                                                                                                So no Tgp2 is not dead by far.

                                                                                                                                                    TGP2's first year is over. It's failed to live up to a whole bunch of hype and hot air that was passed out of various and sundry orifices by various and sundry folks, many of whom are now no longer to be found anywhere near tgp2. A lot of people thought they were going to get rich quick, and got pretty pissed off when they realized the amount of hot air they'd bought; they're gone too.

                                                                                                                                                    It had to fail at first. TGP2 was passed off as some kind of "save the porn" thing - the "movement" was going to cause a "revolution" that would make all the webmasters millionaires, and probably save life on earth as we know it in the process. What a bunch of shit. TGP2 is nothing more, and nothing less, than another way of marketing dirty pictures.

                                                                                                                                                    That being said, tgp2 is still doing what many people think we ought to be doing - putting out fewer free pictures, and increasing the marketing allowed on galleries. There are an increasing number of small to middlin' tgps accepting 5-picture galleries. There are folks trying to figure out the same puzzle that we are ALL trying to figure out - traffic.

                                                                                                                                                    TGP2 is not a success - yet. But it ain't dead either.

Content providers should keep an eye on the sites that their content will be used on. Eventually even sell only softcore sets with few pink for gallery makers (for less $$$) and sell the full hardcore sets only for approved AVS/paysites. That way it could be monitored where the content goes.

                                                                                                                                                                                                As far as I know, some providers do it already, it should be introduced on a larger scale though.
