    I want to open a microbrewery... need help

    Hi there,



    Anyone here familiar with brewing beer, and/or marketing the product?



    I'm looking around various internet sites and I haven't found much info on actually marketing the product and approaching people. What I want to know is, how exactly you get a product onto shelves? What are the steps? Who has to approve you?


    Maybe this is the wrong place to ask, but I'm at a loss for ideas. Any suggestions before I just goto the local brew pub and ask to speak to the owner / operator?

              i always get a kick out of people that want to start businesses in a field that is so overflooded.....and businesses that do start up go out of business in less than a year

                  Galleries are very overflooded and I somehow manage to do well enough to make it one of my large sources of income


                  It takes someone with a different approach to something everyone else does to make a profit. I'd like to do fairy pops ( ciders, coolers, etc ) as well and market to the ladies. I'm sure locally I could make a killing with the ideas I have.
