    The technical term is called The Ponzi scheme

    The Ponzi scheme works on the "rob-Peter-to-pay-Paul" principle, as money from new investors is used to pay off earlier investors, and to maintain the lifestyle of the perpetrator, until the whole scheme collapses. Profits are never created because there is no underlying investment.

    It is named after Carl Ponzi, the man who, in the 1920s, swindled thousands of New England investors using the method.

                                                                              I would image why this hasnt made it to higher levels of court is that the adult industry is not looked upon as a viable business community - according to the government and the like.. we are on the same level as pimps and drug dealers

                                                                                      I was wondering the exact same thing - why hasn't this been featured on a Sixty Minutes or similiar news show? I'm sure there's enough fraud, deception, intrigue and shadowy characters that it would make for great primetime fodder for the masses.

                                                                                      But then again, we're all just 'pimps 'n drug dealers'.
