So just about a year ago, I meet this guy at the Red Rooster. He comes up to me while I'm talking to Missy and introduces himself as the newest affiliate manager for adult.com.
So we get to talking, he finds out I'm also from Sacramento (he just moved here from back east). We exchange info and agree to get together for lunch, blunts, kings games, tittie bars... whatever comes our way.
In speaking with him, I could tell he really didn't know what he was getting into and was truly wet behind the ears. BUT he listened and retained whatever advice that people had for him and was willing to put in whatever time it took to learn what he needed to know and more.
2 days after I return from Vegas I get a email from Ramos following up on everything we discussed at the show. He was actually the only person I had met at the show to hit me up in a non-spam way. To me this was a good approach, building a relationship with a person first instead of the push my program bullshit most try to shove down a persons throat.
3 weeks later I was hired by Lensman and began my career with adult.com
fast forward a year, and the wet behind the ears rookie is no longer that. He quickly moved his game up to the top rung and is looking to go higher. Now, he's running shit his way and living the life that a year ago was nothing but a pipe dream.
