    Ranting about models and agents...

    I've just gotta rant a bit here. I began doing a small handwritten blog over a year ago. It focuses on one pornstar/centerfold/sologirl each day. It's done pretty well. Over time, I decided that I wanted to try to get information first hand for these posts. I developed a model bio questionnaire which when responded to helps me flesh out the post itself.

    I am amazed daily at the lack of responses to these questionnaires. I would guess 1 in 40 I get back. Sending them to programs, affiliate managers, girls themselves (a lot on myspace), and agents.

    A few minutes time and it means traffic for them and having correct information on the web.

    It makes me sad.

                      For the most parts, those persons you're sending your emails to (except for the girls themselves) have no idea of the girls' bios. Thus, to answer your questionairre, they need to either question the girl or to create a fake bio, which is not 10 mins worth of time, and generally not worth it unless there's a massive amount of sales on the table.

                      Contacting a girl could involve several steps because those who run a program are usually not the ones who're shooting content and do not have direct contact with the girls. Also, even if contacted, most girls will be too lazy to answer because there's no direct benefit for them in answering, and even if there is they're still too lazy. More to it, many girls will not be happy with the idea of their real bio posted somewhere at a porn site.

                      That pretty much leaves us with the fake bio option, which programs and affiliate managers are going to do only if they're sure they're going to get decent amount of sales in return. Otoh, you can write those fake bios yourself, they will not be any better (or worse) than fake bios sent to you by the program.

Not only do we put up their pictures and videos but we often put up her real name, age and city/town she lives in. The last thing we should do to models, but who cares so long as we get a few more clicks.

                                                      the first thing they should do is have a basic questionairre with bullshit questions about their "character" and who they want to be.. so the agency can use it..

                                                      All fake questions based on their character..

                                                          I think you read it wrong. I said it was their loss, as in the models loss. PK has a great blog that sends traffic. If anyone thinks they can shoot porn and friends or family not find out about it, then they have to be an idiot.

                                                                              I'm doing 'investigative' reporting here. I'm not digging for personal dirt.. it's whatever the lady wants to share. I don't turn around and research their responses to find out if they're telling me the actual zip code (being sarcastic) where they were born or anything. Primarily it's a basic set of questions that any of these ladies with their own 'official sites' would probably provide to their members, etc... "What did you do before you got into the industry?" "How did you get into the industry?"

                                                                              To me...if I'm gonna write about someone, I'd rather have the right info. I won't just go make something up.

                                                                                      Me neither, In re: posting real names, etc. There's no legit personal info in this interview. these general questions are easy for her to answer, and by having her do it on the spot we get real deviations from interview to interview.

                                                                                      Before an interview Ivy already knows her limits and simply ignores questions she doesn't want to answer. She's been prepped. All in all it works out. This is entirely different than some 4chan douche posting a home address.

                                                                                          PK it's not about what you do, it's about what others do and the girls might think you will put up their real info. Because a lot of other sites do.

                                                                                          The problem is people read what we say about the girls and all the things they love to do. Then someone they know confronts them with it.

                                                                                              Another factor is that some solo girl programs hire a girl for a few days or a week, shoot 30-50 sets, and then send her on her way and put her sets into rotation, so that the girl has nothing whatsoever to do with the site after it launches.

                                                                                              Anyone with any historical perspective on the industry would be foolish to not supply you with the info you request to help promote them.

                                                                                              Well, at least it helps you to sift out the chaff...

                                                                                                  sent out 43 messages through myspace directly to the ladies' official myspace (yeah I'm not naive I know that some of them aren't really the ladies involved..but for all intents and purposes...)... I know it's early yet.. but of the 43...8 have been read already and not a peep. Looking back at my records of those I've sent though myspace in the last few months.... 108 sent, 49 read and 7 actually responded.

                                                                                                      These guys pretending to be agents do nothing but send out emails with pictures of the girls and hope to book them. Arri, does more work for his client in a fictionalized half hour episode of Entourage than most of these guys do for their clients in the course of their time in the business.

                                                                                                          I have never once imagined that anyone who wants bio information wants it for the real girl as opposed to their online character.

                                                                                                          And I pretty much am sure that bios were a standard part of the Playboy mag for the centerfolds, though admittedly I have not seen their publication for years.

                                                                                                          Porn is a fantasy game, and imho, solo girls should have a fantasy bio to go along with. It doesn't have to say that she likes to bang German Shepards on the side, but it should give some info toward helping the surfer/member connect to her.

                                                                                                          From an affiliate manager standpoint, the day I can't take 10 minutes of my time to help someone like PK with an ad tool is the day that 3xTom needs to retire my number.

                                                                                                              No where in here did anyone say that they wanted their real information. PK wants them to fill out a questionnaires. It can be filled with their fake name and the info they choose to share. I filled out her questionnaire and you answer how you want to.

                                                                                                              Most models do not use their real names online, give their real birthdate or age, or say exactly where they live.

                                                                                                                      Thats actually a great response. If you look at direct mail response stats, historically you cant count on about 1-2 % response. You have about 8%. Consider yourself successful.

                                                                                                                      As for putting up bios of girls... I have to warn people that because you have a model release you still have to be careful with what you put out there. It is still possible to get hit with a false light lawsuit or a public disclosure of private facts lawsuit.

                                                                                                                      I get a lot of performers -- male and female -- that get upset with what is posted about them in bios and in false interviews in magazines and on the web.
