I've been a Pontiac guy most of my life. The '05 GTO isn't too bad. I wish they made it look like a GTO though.

It may be my next purchase. Not sure.

The design of the GTO is disappointing. I love how the new Mustang has the old muscle car look...now if only Pontiac would follow suit...

No, I wish it did. This was actually the most popular concept, designed by an 18-year-old kid from California. GM will have to tone it down (add some plastic, curves, etc.) before ever letting it out; which sucks. The auto companies need to let designers be artists again IMO.

I talked to a car designer a long time ago, and asked hi m why the concept cars are never made. I asked if it was because of safety issues, and he said sometimes. But it is usually because the company heads think that the people are not ready for those designs yet??

It has been about 10 years since he said that, and I am still scratching my head trying ti figure that out.

That looks better than the first picture of the GTO in this thread, but by the time they slap some normal wheels and tires on it, it's probably still going to look like just another Grand Am / Grand Prix. They need to ditch that front grill / headlight design.

I like pontiacs... I have a 2002 turbo'd 400HP grand am.

I test drove a GTO and it's awsome. Lots of power, and can churp the tires in every gear off the line.

The Judge will look like that. But you're right. The front end is what the GTO a GTO and they struck out on that w/ the new GTO's.
