    Any car better then the Audi S4 for the money?

    I live in the north so the 4 wheel drive means i could maybe have just one car. My G35 is killing my back. The S4 is roomier, faster and seems to handle almost as well.

    The clutch is not in the normal spot. more of like a Fiat is. Weird but could get used to it, I think.

    Any bad shit I need to know before i buy it this week?

          The S4 is great dude, I am in the same boat as you (being in the north). My buddy Bobosoft has an nice G35 and he took me for a ride while I was in Atlanta. Those seats are chiropractically designed I think, but my shoulders are way too wide and it became very uncomfortable for me to sit in. So bad actually that I had to sit in the backseat because my back was bothering me so much, and I don't have any back issues?

          The S4 is fast as hell, has quattro AWD which is awesome in the wintertime and handles great. Plus people who know cars are always complementing the vehicle when I drive up. Most people mistake it for an A4 but that is to be expected as they look so similar. ;)

          Just my but it's hard to find a better car for the money than a S4.

              Knock on wood, my S4 hasn't had any engine issues and it's a 2000.

              Had to replace some stupid stuff like tires, a speaker I blew playing the music too loud and some other dumb stuff.

              I would highly suggest you get a warranty if you can with a S4 because parts can be very expensive. (just like all european cars)

                          DH do you know what I mean about the clutch? It is moved the right just bit and in this one the wheel well was right on it. i missed the clutch once and hung up once so it makes me cautious.

                                  Just be careful if you are buying a new S4 as Audi are just rolling out facelift across the A4 range, its due out here (UK) in January.

                                  Its basically just a new front grille but it makes a big difference to the appearance (I prefer it) and no doubt the resale value in a few years.

                                  Might be worth asking the dealer what the rollout time is for the US, it may even already be out there?

                                              you might want to look into the new volvo v70R if you want something fast, roomy & comfortable.

                                              350hp, 6 speed manual, and comfy as hell.

                                                          I am single I can not do a volvo. An audi is bad enough. The inifiniti is way cool but not one hotty has any idea what it is.

                                                                  It fucking rocks... I love driving it... looking to get an S4 sometime soon as well.

                                                                  German cars are by far the best built, coolest looking, most secure bang for your buck.

                                                                  I'd think about waiting to get the new grill, as discussed above... that's what I'm doing.

                                                                                  Just bought a new A4, its a pretty quick car, I wish I could afford the insurance on the S4, v8 twin turbo fuckin fast car, but for my age an A4 does the job, we'll see what I can afford in the next few years. I would ABSOLUTELY go for the S4 any day!

                                                                                          Yeah, even the new V70R, which is pretty badass looking for a volvo is still a more mature car.

                                                                                          Get the S4, you won't regret it. If you can afford it, bump up to the RS4 or the RS6. Talk about fast - I think the RS6 is one of the fastest production cars on the road. Faster 0-60 than a Viper.

                                                                                              i was talking about old style(2000) S4 with 250hp, a 330ci got 225hp ... 2000 s4 is about quicker by only 0.5 seconds

I drove my friends and it was unbelievable how amazing it was. Fast + Amazing handling + Amazing for the winter. In terms of power/awd/look , the S4 is the car to get. They are changing the front but all new orders should have the new face, I believe it comes out in March/2005 all the new grills.

                                                                                                                      I have a 2001 A6 2.7t w/ 50,000 miles & it runs great, looks great, & totally rocks in the winter in NYC/NNJ. I needed a bigger car than the A4/S4 class.

                                                                                                                      IMO, Audi interiors are nicer than any other German car. Quattro is awesome, it makes the car feel like you are driving on rails.

                                                                                                                      Just be cool with the Turbo chargers untill your cars oil temp/ warms up,change your oil, & your engine will last to 200,000K.
