In this day and age why do we have Armys?

Whats the point in the military

When all we really have to do is press a button or spike there water line etc.
it seems so primal when we have the technology like a Ipod Nano etc.

I just dont get it..

I agree, now that we have Ipod Nano's we should stop all armed conflict and listen to music instead

pfff armies, its always just as easy as pressing a button, i mean its not like some countries have dictators or anything that do not care bout their citizens, that is propostorous!

It had nothing to do with an Ipod that was just an example of how far we have come.

I personally dont think we need a military if america was under an attack I'm sure the people would have no problem defending themselves why would a country do that knowing all we have to do is press a button.

we can drop bombs all day long

Gotta make money for no-bid companies like Haliburton, and keep the world safe for the oil industry and other big businesses that line the pockets of the politicians - as they keep the public divided over social issues that they pay lip service to, but really could give a fuck about, as long as they have people divided and too preoccupied to notice how they and their benefactors are raping the earth and the taxpayers.

I still like to consider myself an optimistic guy...but who knows...one day I might snap...

this was the topic of our cHRISTMAS dinner and even the elders where pissed at our current situations. and how the gov has taken away our freedom with scare tatics while the rich get deeper pockets. lets get real why do CEO's get 500 mil a year who really needs that much money while the people who work hard get there 401ks stolen.

Not the military if so they need to be in New Orleans rebuilding

we wouldnt need to worry about people looting if we took care of them with our reserves and all our tax dollars that are being spent on other country disasters
