He doesn't exist. Since when has a miracle happened in modern times? There hasn't been any. At least evolution is testable. God isn't. I've had a few friends with cancer pray hard for a miracle...Zilch happened in the end. Check out this site... www.simulation-argument.com That's more plausible than any old god.

i see your point, we all go through hardships in life but maybe it happens for a reason sometimes? I aint saying your friends ( may they rest in peace) deserved to die of cancer , btw same thing happened to my grandparents but maybe there is a reason?

I vote for that.. we're inside a "program" .. thats why we can't understand whats going on .. neither can Super Mario
..btw same thing happened to my grandparents but maybe there is a reason?
There seems to be no fairness in life itself .. so I think the single life itself is an isolated capsel where things happenes without any fairness influenses anything (sorry for my bad english here, hehe) .. where I see people getting judged is when they are born .. some is born rich and live for 100 years in 100& health and wealth .. and some are born into a shithole of a life..
So.. if we get judged at any moment it's just before we're born (read : right after we die in the previous life) .. then your next life, which is your next task, will start you off as you "deserve it"
Why lifes should be tasks and who benefits from it I have no clue about
I do believe there is a greater power. But nonetheless, its better you believe in something that makes you a better person for yourself and society as well. I doubt evolution has made us who we are. I think our origins are from another world.
Remember, a Jedi's strength flows from the Force. But beware. Anger, fear, aggression. The dark side are they. Once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny. Juicy... Juicy... do not... do not underestimate the powers of the Lensman or suffer your father's fate you will. Juicy, when gone am I... the last of the Jedi will you be. Juicy, the Force runs strong in your family. Pass on what you have learned.
Years ago I was an echo moderator on the old ITC_Net forum 'Evolution'...back in the days when I still considered myself rather agnostic. Being agnostic, I often found myself supporting arguments from both sides from time to time. For a while I was willing to be convinced in either direction.
These days I've drifted totally towards atheism...for many personal reasons.
So, my answer would be no - I don't believe there is an "almighty god" or higher power.
From my perspective...creationists cannot make a case for a supreme being.
religion exists because we are helpless souls stranded on the third rock from the sun cursed with the knowledge of our own mortality. organized religion tries to scare us into not killing each other, raping, stealing, etc- not to be savages.
religiosity is nothing more than an obsessive compulsive disorder.
that's my opinion. i'd love to believe - when times are bad I do look to God - hoping he exists and maybe he's listening.
i used to say i was an agnostic - but that's just an atheist usually covering his bases.
what kind of shit is that? I mean if I helped myself already then why in the hell do I need his help now? Oh, but he/she/it will help me anyway and not the less fortunate people?
oh, then we have the people that pray to "god" daily/nightly so when they die they will go to this heaven place yet these same people are afraid to die/do not want to die.. then fuck praying to some imaginary thing that you will never see.
just look at the world and the way it is. o you actually believe that there is a "god"? oh, of course, "god" is just making us learn on our own, right? fuck that. now, if there was a "god" don't you think he/she/it would do things so people would know 100% that "god" exists? religion has people so brainwashed it's pathetic.
Also, if there was a "god" don't you think he/she/it would do something about the way religious people are doing things? do you actually think this is the way "god" wanted things to be? Sorry to say, but if I was "god" I would be killing many of these people who do nothing but fuck people over financially, mentally and all other ways. I would make damn sure that all my "children" are well taken care of and not like the way it is now.
Simply put, there is not "god"
Believe in what you know and see. Believe in YOURSELF! Of course, many people don't even believe in themselves yet they believe in something that has never done anything for them or that they've never seen.
All these religions and such dont care what religion you are bottom line do you believe in a "almighty being" thats controls the world and actions?
Lets debate this
whoop...I didn't read what you were REALLY asking before my previous reply. Yes Juicy...there is a Santa Claus.
No really, yes I think there is a higher power...not a punishing one, but one that gives us strength of conviction and tosses us out into a field of choices in our lives and world.
I think the purpose of this all is to enable us to separate ourselves into classes by our own choices.
However, how kind of the higher power to leave all this up to us.
hell NO - people think too much - we were made to fuck and survive, just like all other organisms, nothing more or less.. i dont see chickens start religions and wars.
I do think the mind or whatever will go on when u die, because i just cant imagine that when u die everythings over, your thoughts, consiousness, dreams etc... its a weird thought. But heres when my first point comes into effect again - dont think, live and try to make it as enjoying as possible.
I think the concept of an omnipotent deity is absurd.
But I do buy into the idea of monoliths and alien visitors who are far more advanced than we are.
Perhaps the notion of intelligent design can be taught using science fiction?
that's something that's more realistic. I mean we are not the only planet out there so there has to be another planet that is much more advanced than we are.

yes, and the funny part is, everybody is mocking the more realistically 'scientology church', when a big part of those mocking fools is christian or another religion... very ingnorant and simple minded.
Not to rain on all of your self satisfied knowledge . . . but you MUST ask yourself, how can a being such as Juicy exist on such a complex creation as the Web, on this exceedingly intricate planet we call earth.
He can't just be a random collection of atoms. I know that something created this universe in order to provide a ?space? and ?time? for Juicy to exist in all of his magnificence.
i think religion gets in the way of the basic idea to be good and kind to your fellow man.
neary every war throughout history was fought due to differences in religion.
i believe in spirituality. i believe that we are supposed to be good and kind to our fellow man. i do not however, believe in what most people call "god"... i do believe in a higher power of some type though...
my belief is that the bible was given to us from someone or something with a higher understanding of society and humanity... i think the bible is nothing more than an "owners manual" of sorts for mankind... things such as not killing, being monogamous and the like were nothing more than things given to us to ensure the survival of our species...
i think religion fucks up a good idea... the idea that we should all be good people and be kind to each other...
All these religions and such dont care what religion you are bottom line do you believe in a "almighty being" thats controls the world and actions?

Wow, Juicy, I can't believe you would question the existance of the almighty being. Everybody knows that Flying Spaghetti Monster exists: It was He who created all that we see and all that we feel. http://www.venganza.org/
But one thing I am sure of...
What ever this god is... I am absolutly 100% sure it is nothing like the Bible, Koran, Budha, Torah what ever the fuck, nor any religeon on earth, that describes or attempts to promote the concept of god. Somehow I doubt GOD would even advocate worshipping em, thats proposterous and concieted.
That new god should be within yourself, influence none other and no other. Text, dogmatic lies based on blurred historical accounts of miracles, demons, monsters, ghosts its all bullshit.
That new god oughtah serve you, as you serve yourself living here, you and god are one and the same. You are not here because god made you, you are here because you made you.
By SHEER WILL.
Will to exhist, live and be here.
The gratitude for your exhistance is all you and shouldnt be displaced by something that says otherwise.
