                                                                                    Having just been in a tough hosting situation myself where my host dropped the ball in everyway possible Split did step up and do things I have not heard of in my many years in adult.

                                                                                    I do believe there are two sides to every story and knowing a lot of the things we have saw here over time I feel no one should pass judgment until each person involved is able to speak their side of the situation.

                                                                                                                                                            all hosts have upstreams that they have specific peering agreements with re: specific types of prohibited activities.

                                                                                                                                                            the story is not complete without information about what the servers were to be used for.

                                                                                                                                                            and if the host is fined because of a prohibited use then that does change things.

                                                                                                                                                            moral of the story; don't bullshit your host. make it explicit what you plan to do before you send coin for hardware.
