I re registered a domain name that was about to expire two days before it was about to expire. It charged the credit card but a week later it was showing it was expired and anyone could click a link to register it. So after calling and them saying they would get back to me they finally do and say it cant be re registered by me and that someone else registered it before me. Thats not true because I did it while it was under my name two days before it was going to expire. So now it's the whole month of November with the domain sitting on someone else's server and the DNS of course changed. FUCK DOTSTER, dont ever use this piece of shit company.
Dotster registrar SUCKS! Don't use dotster!!

Dude, sounds weird, after your domain expires, they hold it for like 45 days before they put it on the open market, during that 45 days, you can get the domain back for like 100 dollars. If you are talking about 2 days left of the 45 day redemption period, you are playing too close to the termination line.Originally posted by MonsterCock

Thats whats Im saying I did that!! Then they held the domain for a month and they changed the DNS to their nameservers for expireddomains.com even though it was billed as a renewal to my card. Then they didnt release it but someone else bought it and now its at Tom from bluegravity's servers. Someone from manilla bought it. Now Its a big screw up by dotster and I need to fax them the credit card statement and I will. It will be another two weeks until the domain is back.Originally posted by NiteRain

Why on earth would you wait so long to renew a domain that was important to you? Surely it would of made more sense to set it on auto-renew or buy it for more than a year?Comment
