need help - got a date and i wana sweep her off her feet

ok, found one I actually like. first date went well, and I actually want to see her again. just dinner and then we went to a pool hall and played 9-ball for a few hours. but we clicked.

got a second date - not till after x-mas cause of family parties and such, schedules at this time of year suck, but really looking forward to it. Ok, got a few other ones on the hook that's i'm seeing on and off but this one is the one I'm interested in and I wana do something to sweep her off her feet without going overboard on date #2.

So suggestions? I'm ok with spending a upto a few hundred dollars but anything more than that would be excessive and I don't want her to feel like I'm buying her.

help - i need ideas. PLEASE

what can i do - other than just being my charming good looking self - that will sweep her off her feet and make a huge impression?

Honestly.. if it is only second date, do NOT spend a couple of hundred bucks on her other than a nice dinner with a really good bottle of wine. Now I like receiving stuff just as much as the next girl but too much too soon is a bad idea.

Any ideas what she likes or is like?? Does she like sports, wine, fancy food, movies... etc? Give us some insight.

If you're looking to spoil while deterring a gold digger, spend money on expendable things... costly dinners, concert tickets, vacations are a good thing. expensive gifts, paying rent etc.. arent. Try a nice resteraunt and then a cruise of the local bay, a hot air balloon ride, something exotic. Then again, if you're still in Canada, it may be too cold for any of that. So just pick her up a nice blanket and offer to break it in with her.

a couple hundred bucks barly gets me past dinner. with wine, aps and a nice meal it's about $120 or so at a decent place here. then doing something afterwards - even a movie - $15 a head plus popcorn or the like, or pool - probally $20 for the table and another $20-$50 for drinks - or bowling - same thing, or mini golf - same thing. a decent evening out is about $200 - not overboard. ok there are things we can do that will cost less, but i LIKE nice dinners.....not too fancy - just nice ones.

she's 6 months out of a marriage from a guy she dumped who had no ambition - he lived off her. Sound familar lol - She owns 1/2 of a multi million dollar trucking company but doesn't live fancy at all. Plain home, plain car (jetta) etc. I think she was shocked that i actually have money too, she's had a lot of gold diggers after her. Not saying i'm not a gold digger too, but my net is the same or more than hers. She wants to travel more but it's hard to find the time at the monent for her but that will change as she's training an assistant that will allow her to. Nice girl, cute, natural blonde - yep blonde , first time I've really gone for a blonde in my life - what else...hummmmm 27, no kids, has a dog, just fun to talk to - bright.

Ok... in that case. You are spot on with the dinner. Nice place... nto too dressy... NEVER loud. You n eed to be able to talk. Thats a great second date. Third date.. I would recommend a nice show or something.... does she like culture or arts... or do you? I am not familiar with things in Canada but stuff like Cirque du Soleil is awesome in my opinion and women love that. Is she a mature 27 yr old or avg?

Also, the whole guy that lived off her.. that totally sucks. I think regardless of the money, the best way to win over a woman thats been burnt like that is just to be yourself. You seem like you are a secure person, both financially and personally. Women that have been through those types of bad relationships and generally are doing well for themselves just want to feel that there is a person around them that will hold their own and pay for dinner. You know what I mean?

Later on of course.. I would DEFINITELY recommend travel. It is such good bonding. Seriously though.... having been through a situation where a guy has done that to me and being the same age.... if she is ANYTHING like me, I would say the most important thing is to just be secure around her and decisive without coming across as overly controlling or needy.

Above all... make sure she feels like you are giving her space to be a person in her own right.. which she is obviously but being just out of a marriage with a douchebag, she will need that.

Here is the answer my friend..

Buy her flowers... all women love to get flowers. You could even send the flowers to her work on the day of the second date with a note saying how much your looking forward to the date later in the evening.
Make sure the flowers arrive at work so all the people at work can see them.

Take her for cooking lessons, I did that a few times and girls love it. Find a local restaurant that does cooking classes, I use a local sushi joint here in SD and it is a blast. Also takes a lot of pressure off since you are in a group.

I am standing by the rule of no gifts until perhaps after the third date. She already has money and probably wants to just know the guy first. I am sure she knows you have money too so that will all come in time. Flowers also, unless done right, can come across as cheesey and old school. I would wait to send flowers to her work AFTER a great second date.

Do something fun..like snomobiling or skiing (if you are in to that). My favorite dates have always been doing something fun..

Everyone or anyone can do the dinner thing..but to dine her after a day on the slopes or a day building a snowman is so much more rewarding and will stick in her mind much more than just another dinner .

If its your second date, dont spend a couple of hundreds. Good food and a bottle of wine is enough. If you both like eachother thats enough. If you hit off, you will have plenty of dates to spoil her ;)

Just being you should be enough, but if you want to impress her:

1. you should not have to spend a lot of money to do this.
2. maybe surprise her at work for lunch, pack a picnic basket and take her to a quite park, lay out a nice spread and just enjoy that moment.

On a second date never ever buy her stuff and for god sakes don't send her flowers or show up at her work, she might think you're a stalker or over bearing. People it is only date two, it is still classified as checking eachother out to see if you want to see eachother again! Guys make the big mistake of pretending to be something that they are not. If you are not hugely romantic it will just look feeble and fake. Make it simple, but classy. If she is outgoing try to select a restaurant that promotes conversation and intimacy but not forcing it. Do you have any places to dine that are ecclectic or that you can eat with your hands? Something different because if she is seeing other guys you want to stand out and show her your good qualities or what you can bring to the table. I don't know, I am a girl and I am just speaking from personal experience for whatever it is worth.
