When friends make FUCKED up business decisions....

If a friend makes a fucked up business decision, should you bite your tongue or give them your input?

If I know before hand that they are considering it....I have no problem giving my but once it's done and then you find out...Should you keep your mouth shut? What if the friends business is currently more profitable than yours? Are you in any sort of position to give business advice to one that is more successful than you?

Hypothetical situation, of course.....

I'm sure he or she has already figured out that they made a bad business decision therefore I would probably mention something about it but not offer any advice. If they make another bad decision in the near future then yes, step in and discuss it with them. Get me once shame on you, get me twice shame on me.

However, that is completely opposite of what I would want done to me in that same situation. I would want my friends to confront me about the decision and offer any advice they desire. If I made a bad decision then I would want any and all input I could get. I don't take things like that personal and feel that it only benefits me.

2 heads are always better than one.

Now, is there any way you can help your friend avoid future losses, or is he in for sickness and health?

If a friend told me about a new business idea that I thought wasn't a good investment, I would defnitely throw out my thoughts on it for him to consider.

If he wanted to brush aside advice from me without giving it any consideration because I made less money than him, well, that would be his choice & I probably wouldn't put in my in the future.

if the deal is already done you wish your friend good luck - that's if u think its just not a smart deal - in the event u find out about a deal after it's done and you know he's made a deal with somebody who's a con artist or completely full of shit u could tell him to watch out.
