I dont pay for anything I can get for free. If I had the money to drop $500+ on photoshop, I probably would. It's a great program and I'd want to support those who make it. But when you're tight on money and the crack is sitting right there... well, lets just say I have no problem sleeping at night. Same goes with dreamweaver, cuteftp, etc.Comment

Personally im supporter of warez. I have said that in the past as well. Although I would never do any warez etc, I'm strongly believer that their existence is important for educational purposes.
I got my 1st computer at the age of 6 or so and for many years I was using pirated software, any kind of that, from simple utilities to advanced packages. My family couldn't afford the cost and if they had to pay it's obviously I would never be here; neither a large number of the rest of us.
I say no to pirated software for businesses, but for kids and young people it's a whole different story.Comment

I actually bought most of the Adobe CS suite, but only because the activation crack was such a hassle and wasn't worth it. God only knows what Adobe hid in their code.
But mostly everything else I head for IRC first.....test drive it.

Had a friend who tried to grab a copy of photoshop 7.0 off Kazaa, It not only didn't work but it locked every adobe program on his computer, Premiere's, photoshop's, illustrator all of them. It was funny because he didn't have the serials for any of them...

I pay for all of my software... once you buy the full version its a lot cheaper to upgrade... and I usually only upgrade when there is a serious enhancement or feature I can't live without... otherwise I keep the versions I have. I still us Photoshop 7 but I have Dreamweaver MX 2004... I sleep a lot better paying for everything I use.
