Even without dental insurance its pretty cheap. Cleanings every 6 months are under $100. X-Rays are a little expensive, but each cavity is about $100 to fill. So overall not too expensive, unless you were waiting on something big!

Damn, that sucks. You need to take good care of your teeth, I mainly brush mine at night and during the morning when I need to go somewhere. At night I always use PLAX before I brush and ACT when I'm done.

I must be doing a good job because before I went 14 years without going to the dentist and I had not one cavity, then recently I went for a checkup 5 years after that and again, not one single cavity.

i pushed it off for years thinking it was all gonna be real expensive. and now that i actually do have problems i'm thankful i finally have the insurance to cover it

I hear ya. I went without dental insurance for 10 years and when i finally got some and went to the dentist I had 2 root canals and a cavity. Even with the discount plan through my insurance the bill was $3k for everything. But at least now I can have a Snickers Bar without dropping to the floor in agony.
