It is fairly common for people in your situation to feel somewhat abandoned or alone - know that it isn't the case, and that friends and family are there for you - they might be silent because they just can't think of anything to say and want to give you as much space and support as possible to grieve in your own way. everyone is feeling the same loss.
sometimes they can develop a sense of guilt for not being able to say anything that can make a difference.
This guilt can compound to the point where people close to you might actually pull away, or seem to, in your time of need, because they are simply embarrassed and uncomfortable and feel guilty that they have nothing to say...either that or they will say what they think is a good rationalization that will put things in perspective, which I'm sure you will at some point get pretty tired of in spite of your appreciation of their attempts to help
These platitudes may get to be so tiresome that you might begin to pull away from well-wishers to avoid such discussion, which is totally ok - most people will interpret this as your wish to be left alone or not speak about it...
My heart goes out to you Sarah. I know how much you loved your husband. I don't know what else to say, other than my thoughts and prayers are with you and if you ever need someone to talk to please feel free to get in touch.
All my love to you and your families. You are a strong person and I know you will prevail. Of course these are only words, but you will get through this and hopefully not alone.
Condolences. May the joy you shared keep your spirit together in the days ahead, when you will need stregnth to deal most, and forever bring love to your heart.

Dang, I am sooooo sorry for the loss of your husband. You are across the pond and not near your family right now. I know you loved him very very much. Gosh for that to happen at 45 is such a dire shame
I will find your # and call you soon, please let me know if I can do anything at all.. If you need to fly home now, we will take care of it.
I think your voip # is at the office, will call rick, if not call me if you want too..
To one of the best people I have ever had the pleasure of working with in over 10 yrs online - Sorry my love.
You are a real "mensche" Todd.
That's an incredibly generous act of kindness.
Although I haven't met you I know that you are more than strong enough to deal with this loss even if it feels like your whole world just caved in right now. He will always be with you and you can see him in your dreams.
Those are the saddest words I have ever read. I know you only as a name on gfy and yet I'm shocked and upset for your loss. Right now you need friends and family to help you. I hope you can go to them, or they can come to you.
I'm not an especially religious person, but I'll say a prayer for you tonight. I'm so sorry for your loss.
"Courage, it would seem, is nothing less than the power to overcome danger, misfortune, fear, injustice, while continuing to affirm inwardly that life with all its sorrows is good; that everything is meaningful even if in a sense beyond our understanding; and that there is always tomorrow."
as somebody else said above Sarah I only know you as a name on GFY and that you work for Todd but my heart is heavy for you nonetheless - and for you husband. sincere condolense to all concerned.

Everytime I read a sad story like this it makes me feel that I should enjoy every second of my life, my friend and my familly.
You never knows when something bad like this can happen and change your world...

Sarah, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. There are no words that I can say that would ease your pain. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. My heart goes out to you. *hugs*
We never spoke eachother, we dont know eachother and i didnt know Marc. I even dont post here much but i wanted to give my deepest condolences to you and marc's family.
I know how much pain yoiu have now. I saw my father dying for my eyes when i whas 20, and 2 weeks later my girlfriend died in a car accident. Its now 15 years ago but still feels like it happened yesterday.
One day you will wake up and notice that the sad feeling is replaced with a feeling of rest and good memories. This takes time, a very long time. Some people will say after a cpl of weeks/month to get over it now but thats completly nonsense. Theres no time for, some do it in a year, some in 10 years and some even longer. But you will always miss them.
Only thing i can say sarah is, take all the time you need to recover, even when it takes a very long time.
My english isnt that perfect but i hope its to read and understandable...
Again, my deepest condelences to you and marcs family...
Take care,
Ron
