I am a born and raised Jersey boy.
Newark is not really NJ. It's really more like a part of NYC.
Where I grew up it was beautiful. It was a small town with a population of about 400 people. We had a corner store, no fast food, no stop lights, and one police car. The student body of the high school I went to was pulled from seven different townships.
It's the type of place where you can't see the hosues from the street because their front yard is forrest.
I lived up in the hills and every winter we got snowed in. When I say "snowed it" I mean we couldn't leave our house for a few days because the wind would blow the snow up over our house higher than the front door was.
New Jersey is beautiful.
