Especially the one story about "the guy who made 300k off of SE Rankings and the next month nothing"... yeah well when you exploit the engines for short term results you earn short term profits. But to turn around and say it's not profitable.. hell doing it for other people isn't profitable, but do it the right way for your or your employer's own and best interests and the benefits last years.

Well I will say this only ONE person be be at the top right? And correct me if I'm wrong, but if your not on the first page or at last the 2nd, well a SE listing is about useless isn't it? I mean for the most part. Now how many webmasters are competing for those top 20 spots? It's obvious even if EVERYONE had the best SEO in the world 99.99% of them would be in fact wasting time, money and effort.Comment

Surfers are smart, if they don't like what the first person is selling they know how to get back to the results to find something else. If you're getting the search traffic it's all about targetting it to somewhere that will convert it, regardless if you're first page or 5th page.Comment
