    POLL : Is Bush FLIP-FLOPPING ?????

if it was Kerry, for sure we would hear the " flip-flop " attack ...

    WASHINGTON -
President Bush reversed course on Thursday and accepted Sen. John McCain (news, bio, voting record)'s call for a law banning cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment of foreign suspects in the war on terror.

If this is not flip-flop, what is...

It is a good move by Bush .. Too bad it didn't come spontaneously ....

      bush had done this before.
He did it with social security. He spent a ton of time and money flying all over the country pushing his social security plan. Then during the last speech he still is strong on his plan. The next day he's back in washington and they release a poll showing 80% of the people think his plan stinks and the very next day he says they are taking on a new idea and will change his plan.

If it were someone else he'd accuse them of flip flopping. Of course he is also the one that says he will not govern based on polls and that is exactly what he did.

I think, in some cases, flip flopping is good. If you have an idea and 80% of the people hate it, maybe you need to rethink it.

I believe it's not only Bush responsibility---it's the people who voted for him. Let's admit the fact that we made a wrong choice. The question is can we afford another Bush?
