    how to format disk running on WinXP

    maybe a dumb question.. but really.. what is the easiest way ?

    i dont have a WinXP cd-rom anymore, i dont have a floppy but i do have two hard disks and a FreeBSD installation cd. any ideas ?

      What do you want to do, replace winxp with freebsd? or just wipe a drive?

                  right click the partition and press format

                      you could make a partition using bsd and fdisk, but you need to format it through win. do the thing above then... ;)

                          Go to your command prompt and use either of the following:
                          FORMAT C: /Q (straight quick format)
                          FORMAT C: /FS:NTFS (if you want ntfs)
                          FORMAT C: /FS:FAT32 (if you want fat32)
