                                                                      not all songs are liked soley based on lyrical content. For me, it's the music, the beat, the melodies, harmonies and cadence. 9/10 it's not what they say, but how they say it. This goes for all music genres, too.


                                                                      But, I won't make the mistake of going to another rap concert again. I was never so scared as I was at the Beat's Summer Jam about 8 years ago... when it was 92.3.... the year Biggies Smalls, Junior Mafia, Toni Tony Tone, etc played.

                                                                              I grew up in a fucked up part of town and went to a school that was the last stop before prison and the first stop after prison. At that time, gangsta rap was just coming out and at the time I was able to identify with it. Poverty, violence and surviving a shitty area is not bound to skin color.

He was a strong character. He gave me inspiration with his poetry.
