                    my PC has been on for 16 days, 6 hours and 50 minutes since the last reboot. laptop has been up for 2 days, 2 hours and 5 minutes since the last reboot.

                            I've rebooted mine about half a dozen freaken times today, as well as a defrag, thinking I could fix email/net problems... even though I knew it wasn't gonna work.

                                you're running it to the grave quicker by turning it off.

                                and if you set the PC to powersave mode, the amount of energy is negligible.
