I got into the game with retail of novelty. One great marketing tool we had was porn parties. Get everyone together and show the lamest porn you can find with the worst plot, stupidest costumes and most terrible voice overs and acting. Usually it was skin-a-max type stuff like Spiderbabe (i know you have seen it) or vintage "you like that don't you bitch" porn. People laugh and joke and comment and have a good time and walk away buying lots of novelty from our hostesses, even the squimish people have a good time eventually since it is not Peter North plowing 2 hot blondes with a serious undertone to it. Some clients even began to ask if our dvd selections included some of the "terrible porns" instead of big production stuff. You are right, some people just really want to see badly shot porn, it is their thing. When I got into the game I thought all porn was high quality hardcore or softcore, niches like bbw, foot, scat, goth etc did not exist because I nor the people I hung with were exposed to it. I thought anything that was not model shit was pointless, low budget bullshit that scraped the bottom of the barrel in profits WRONG, I know much betterr now. One man's trash is another man's treasure.
Seems to me most sites are less demanding than big production, you can get away with more. But honestly, who is making more money, your site with decent chics with decent shots, the guy shooting anything that comes in the door or someone shooting super model porn stars? Now where is the most work involved, the most competition, this is work/sucess(profit) Is your choice to use good enough girls representative of your "my check is good enough" attitude?
