no that is what happens when you are poor. And please do not go into a "first them, then you, it will never stop" because that simply is not how it works. When people talk about wanting to aquire money and power it is not only for ego trips it is to protect themselves from things like this. Being poor is a bad idea, ask anyone from New Orleans who has common sense. Know where most of the FEMA money is going, people who live in well off parts of New Orleans and the northshore area like Mandeville and Covington right outside of Slidell that city that got wiped off the face of the map. The reason is because they want those houses put back up, they want those businesses back in, they do not want blight in the city.
I learned my lesson early. I was at my gf's family beach house one summer. Every hour or so a lifeguard helicopter flew by, it happened everyday I was there. I was on the private beach side of the island. On the other side of the island was the public beach, no helicopters at all, no lifeguards, swim at your own risk. When I got home it was shark week, they gave the location of a bunch of attacks, all within 5 miles of where I was. Coastguard was there looking out for sharks for all of us on the beach while it was sink or swim for the people on the public beaches not very far away. This told me that the rich are looked out for and the poor are on their own, i could either try to change it, or i could work within the system to set myself AND THEN try to change it.
Money and power go together, enough people with enough money and power together are going to be protected by those who do not have as much (their workers/government/business) at the expense of those around them. This is nothing new, so you either take your chances being poor or you get money and power so you do not have to deal with it if you do not want to. Can you show me where the people are not getting market value for their homes and property and just being thrown out on the streets?
