and your server suddendly started to overload, after 2 years you were paying THE SAME price on your server, wouldn't you expect to get a free upgrade on your server (in my case ram)
please post your opinions...
depends on if you own or lease
if you own it you need to buy/upgrade a new one
if you lease then its your hosts job to make sure your sites run all the time
even if he needs to get you a new server..
hey... your car is 2 years old..and u start getting bad mileage all of a sudden... do you take your car back and expect the latest model for free?
thats different, chances are he never actually bought the server, just is leasing it monthly. and if you're leasing a car, they better be servicing it.
you don't know you're wearing a leash if you sit by the peg all day..

realised that after i posted... and you do pay for services
If you lease a car do they upgrade the motor to the newest and fastest every time you take it to be serviced?
Also nobody knows what your hosting agreement is besides you and your host, When you first signed up with your host were you given a deal on the server?
I see a lot of people piping in with comments and thats normal for this site but as a long time lurker and someone who knows a bit about hosting my view is there are just to many variables here not listed.
But in reality if you have been on the same server 2 years and now your starting to overload it your saying your business has not increased at all in 2 years?
If your business has increased in the past 2 years then your requirements for a server has also increased in the last 2 years. Thus that great deal your host made when you signed up 2 years ago would be null and void and no the host shouldn't have to upgrade you for free. However I'm sure if you are with a reputable host, I'm sure they will make you a new deal to meet your needs.
