Democrat states bankroll Republican states with Federal tax funds

"After the presidential election, many have noticed the irony of how some of the more conservative, culturally red states seem to receive more in federal spending than they pay in federal taxes. Meanwhile, some of the more liberal, culturally blue states seem to receive less in federal spending than they pay in federal taxes."

Here is the data

For every dollar North Dakota pays they get $2.04 in federal funds, for every dollar New Jersey pays they get $.66.

Obviously. Income is MUCH lower in states like North Dakota, Mississippi, Alabama.

THen again, Federal money does whats best for the nation. Not for the state is got the money from.

Yeah but, more than ever these days, brains will usually prevail over brawn or sheer numbers. Dont think I would bet on guys from Mississippi or Alabama over guys from New York or LA.

this part was kinda interesting..

The irony is that the blue-tax paying states could secede, maintain all federal spending commitments in their states, and have money left over, while their red counterparts would pay a higher economic price for pursuing a similar course?at least in the short run.

In November, you can vote for America's next president or its first dictator.

Yes because republicans are good at keeping minimum wage low and getting rid of unions. Yet poor people keep voting for them. Shows southerners are in fact ignorant. But hey if NO job or a $5.15 an hour factory job is ok with you as long as fags can't marry then don't expect me to feel sorry for your condition and you need to stop asking for handouts from taxpayers like me.

And a lot of you idiots dont realize that a lot of the Souths economy was destroyed during the civil war. Factories burned down, hell half of cities burned down. A lot of infrastructure was destroyed. Of course that ruined the economy of the South for a long time, and even to this day its still being rebuilt.

Also, wanna check the races of the South vs. the North? You'll see a clearer picture of where the drain is coming from.

"Red State" voters are against social programs to hand $
to individuals, they are perfectly happy seeing it go to
military spending.

I think you are wrong. I just moved from Los Angeles to the Midwest. Granted it is not the South, but they are about equal in my book. But what I have noticed here is everyone is happy. The average income here is $38,000 per year. Yet a family of 4 lives very comforatably on that income. I sold my house in LA for $569k, and got a house twice as big with twice as much land here for under $250k. And I dont live out in the sticks somewhere. I am in a suburb of a major city. The Midwest and the South vote republican because there is really nothing wrong here. Life is good.
