    German Shepherd Pups....looking

I'd like to get one from the spca, but i'm guessing i won't find a purebred at a shelter.

The other option i was researching was a rescue mission for shepherds, but again, usually not pups at these places.

Anyone have any suggestions? I never liked the idea of "buying" a dog since there are so many without homes, but the person we're getting it for likes shepherds.

9 times out of 10 You will never find a Pure Breed dog just sitting at the shelter (AKC'ed) If you do you have to be there at 8am when they open from yesterdays catch lol and put you're name on the waiting list. Like I said 90% of the time the owenr will claim the lost dog

you can find pure breeds , find a german shepard rescue group or www.petfinder.org. You can search by breed ,sex ,location. I adopted and they are both pure breed boston terriers.

Our dobermann passed away in september, he was going to be 4 years old a few days later He was so sweet.

A few days later this under 1 year old female cat appears, she just had kittens. She started puking and was very groggy and passed away as well
What an amazing cat she was.

RIP Jack, Charlene and your dog

AKC Shepherd pups can get quite expensive. A buddy of mine just got one from a breeder and paid $1600 for him. He is an absolutely beautiful dog but I can't justify spending that much on one.

Make sure you don't get one from a puppy mill. If the price is low then it's probably too good to be true. Good luck on your search and if you're interested, I can give you the information of the breeder he got his from. It's in Ocala Florida so it might not be cost effective to travel.

it's nice to know that you would like to pet a dog and german shepherd is a good choice.
