Now if that computer that you were typing to your wife on was paid for by you, Scott, then I think you've probably got some more ammunition in case you decide to seek legal action, but if that computer was paid for by MN, then I believe they are entitled to record and review any and all usage of that computer. If they did indeed pay for it, and you thought you had rights to privacy that you didn't, that is really more your naivete than anything else.
I certainly hope that both sides of this situation will take some time to stop and reflect on their actions, and consider the possible consequences both in terms of legal issues and in terms of how the "community" perceives the situation.

there is something to be said for trusting your employees tho, its not like they are a big company who cant keep track of there employees in more traditional ways. Plus, i think if they give you a computer for your house, then they would have to tell you, if they were planning on using it to spy on you
