Just bought a Wacom Tablet, your experiences?

So I just bought a 6x8 Wacom Tablet to edit my graphics and pictures now.

    I got the Wacom Graphire3 6x8.

Should be pretty interesting as i've used the mouse forever, but i've wanted a tablet for so long.

Does anyone hear currently use them and how do you like it?

it's very hard to learn using it. i bought my tablet for digital painting months ago, just for fun...but it's nothing like using an actual pencil or brush...i'd like to use it too for photo editing, but i'm more comfortable with using the mouse right now for the job

I'm hoping editting will be a bit smoother for me... I'm sure i'll have a hard transition, but i feel like this is a much needed step to help improve my editting.

it may take a little time to get it set up to your feel, but it is well worth it.
I have the Intruos2 9x12 and wouldn't be without it.
just take your time setting it up and getting it to work with your graphics program (photoshop) or whatever.
then just practice, the more you use it the more comfortable you will be.

I use one for photo touch ups and cartoon coloring. It's much easier to use than a mouse. Spending the extra money on a good wacom is worth it though.

I have a Wacom. They're great tools. I also have the Logitech MX1000 Laser Mouse which is extremely precise.

Between both of them I can handle any digital imaging task.

It takes a while to get your hand transitioned to the Wacom pen since its back to a more natural hand motion and movement vs. the standard robotic mouse movements.

The Wacom pen is also great for editing comments on contracts and docs since you can handwrite them instead of typing.

Sweet, thanks for the heads up KRL.

I'm stoked to try this out.

I have an old one. Pretty cool for touch ups as said above...
