ICQ HELP - How Do I Stop All The Spam????

I have it set to ONLY allow people on my contact list to contact me, i haven't had spam in years

Ignore those that do not know any better, you do not need that crappy Trillian.

Just set your options so that you only get messages from those that are authorized. I NEVER get ICQ spam.

Thanks ... .I tried trillion 2 seperate times and it jacked up my computer. I don't really need it either as all I use is ICQ.

I guess I'll hunt through these options and hope to find a solution.

That works, but limits making new contacts. Of course clicking Decline without a reason 40 times an hour prolly passes over someone trying to contact you for real biz.

Best to set yourself offline I guess. You'll still get the messages from people that want to contact you.

The other Instant Message services suck. Most in adult use ICQ, so your kinda stuck.

I don't get people requesting authorization unless they are people that want me for biz, or think I am some long lost friend. I never click decline.

dude, hahaha I just turned ICQ on and I had 10 requests all saying "Please add me to your ICQ list" I must get at least 15 a day now.

Ok ... just deleted my ICQ from there, but I can't imagine that all these requests come from Model Cash forum. I mean, I'm getting crazy amounts of these damn things.

I'm going to sue ICQ for mental damages.

Man, I is driving me nuts. Thats where I'm at ... about 15 - 20 a day. I think someones selling ICQ lists
